Most of us are unsure about the exact time of birth because of the time difference in the Local Standard Time and the watch in the hospitals. The importance of exact time of birth is best illustrated by the difference in the life of twins born within time gap of a few minutes. This is because, the ascendant (1st cusp- exact location of the 1st house or lagna) of any person is the fastest moving and it has to cover 249 divisions of Sign, Star and Sub in a day for any latitude. The sub of the ascendant can vary from one planet to another in a gap of few seconds. The variation of this sub, may vary the sub of the remaining cusps as well. Even if this sub does not vary, still, variation of few seconds may vary any of the remaining 11 cuspal subs. Getting analysis of one’s horoscope without having an exact time of birth is a futile exercise. This also leads to loss of faith in the science. Analysis of horoscope and predictions based on the same are fruitful only if the time of birth is exact.
