Why KP System is scientific

All the human beings are born in the twelve signs i.e Aries, Tarurs…… [P]isces and their life influenced by the 7 planets and two nodes. This system of astrology is based on correct astronomical data such as exact position of planets on sayana basis, latitude and longitude and time. There cannot be horoscope based prediction without studying the exact location of the houses (called cusps) which a particular sign represents. Even for a particular sign representing a cusp(s), predictions cannot be made without studying the detailed location of the cusp(s) down to seconds and the exact location of the planets in a horoscope. This system owes its accuracy to the following scientific parameters, which has made this system more mathematical than intuitional:

1. Division of Zodiac into Cusps: The Zodiac is divided into 12 signs. Each sign is of 30 degrees. The Zodiac is divided into 12 houses. However, the exact location of each house down to the degree, minute and second is called the cusp. Further, each cusp may or may not be of exactly 30 degrees. The exact location of the cusp is characterised by its sign, star and sub lord. For example the 2nd cusp may fall on 10 degree, 24 minute and 20 seconds of Taurus (Venu/Moon/Moon) and 3rd cusp may fall at 7 degree, 5 minute and 40 seconds of Gemini (Mercury/Rahu/Rahu).
2. Division of Star into Sub: Each sign is occupied by 21/4 star. Each star is of 13 degrees 20 minutes. Each star is further sub divided into 9 divisions, commencing with the division of the owner of the star. The extent of each sub division is proportional to the period of the planet in the 120 year Vimshottari Dasha Cycle. For example, in Aries, there are stars of Ketu (13 deg 20 min), Venus (13 deg 20 min) and Sun (3 deg 20 min, remaining 10 minutes in Taurus). In Aries, Venus Star is divided into 9 divisions consisting of sub of Venus, Sun ……. [K]etu, in which the extent of Venus is 2 degree 13 minute 20 seconds and so on.
3. Predictions are based on exact cuspal locations and planetary locations: Just as the cusp in its exact location has a sign, star and sub lord, similarly, each planet in its exact location has a sign, star and sub lord. The KP system, hinges on these exact locations, cuspal linkages to the supporting cusps to make a prediction rather than the average locations.
